Instant Pot Chole Poori

Chole Poori



Soak garbanzo beans overnight. Replace with fresh water a few times.


Prep:

1. Drain water from beans. Set aside.

2. Cube vegs: 1 onion, 2-3 medium tomatoes, 1 large gold potato.





Measure spices in Dish #1️


1. 1 heaping TBSP of garlic paste

2. 1 tsp or more of ginger-chilli paste

3. 2 tsp of paprika

4. 2 tsp of Chole Masala





In dish # 2 measure out:


2 TBSP tomato paste

1 tsp haldi

Salt to taste




In dish # 3 measure out:


1/2 cup chopped cilantro

1 TBSP amchur of to taste

Juice of 1/2 lime



Heat instant pot to HOT

Sauté onion in high for 2 mins



Add dish # 1

Stir to coat and sauté for 25 seconds




Add chopped vegs and stir to coat



Add beans and stir to coat



Add dish # 2

Stir to coat



Add enough water to cover the beans.

Stir well





Close lid

Set to “natural pressure on”

Pressure cook on high - 25min

Once cycle complete, natural release pressure.



Open lid, stir to combine.


Turn on sauté mode.

Add dish # 3

Taste salt and sourness. Add salt and lime juice as needed.

Thin out with more water if needed

Or

If too much liquid - sauté on high for few minutes while stirring and squishing beans to thicken.


Top with more cilantro

Serve with bhathure , sliced red onions and imli chutney.
